Firecracker Meatballs with Roasted Green Beans & Jasmine Rice

While I could save this blog title for the 4th of July, I thought it was appropriate for #HelloFresh and their Firecracker Meatballs. Everyone in the cave loves these. The wildlife even try to beg but we are fairly strict about people food being off limits. That's not to say that Zelda hasn't figured out the Natives make a mess...

Sometimes this is sent with Korean Chili Flakes, some times it isn't. Don't ask me me why, I don't have a guess. I add on chili flakes and sesame seeds along with just a weeee bit of extra Sriracha to Gatherer's portion. Hunter gets the same prep, but just less of anything with heat. Natives get sesame and nothing with heat because apparently natives are allergic to flavor (not really they act like it kills them though which may as well be the same). Never in a million years would I have tried mayo, sour cream, soy sauce, Sriracha, and honey in a sauce because it just sounds gross. It is not gross y'all it is magic, pure glorious magic.

I use this guy to rinse my jasmine rice. It is the easiest thing I have found for rinsing rice. I very rarely find myself using it to actually sift flour. Gatherer isn't exactly a fan of baking, it is a rare occurrence. If you don't currently take the time to rinse the starch from your rice, consider it. It will prevent your rice from getting gummy. Your rice will still be sticky but it won't "glob" up or turn to rice paste. Yes I know the sifter is rusty, no I won't buy a new one, I like this one and we aren't dead yet.
